With Cleary Surveys, you can easily collect feedback from employees, analyze responses, and automate workflows. You can send Pulse Checks, Employee Engagement Surveys, collect feedback on company events, and more. Surveys can also be added to Onboarding and other Journeys, and even automate downstream tasks as a result.

Analytics
As survey results are submitted, you can click the Results tab in the Survey editor to view analytics. Survey results will respect anonymity when that setting is enabled for a survey. You can also click Export CSV to have a CSV of the results emailed to your inbox.
How to Add a Survey to a Journey
Surveys can serve a variety of use cases for your employee journeys. You can collect feedback through an Onboarding Feedback Survey, populate new hire profile fields before they join the company, or even automate form responses to other task assignees and automate downstream tasks.
1. Collect feedback through an Onboarding Feedback Survey
In your onboarding journey, click Create a new step.
In the subsequent modal, select Survey, and then the Onboarding Feedback Survey template from the dropdown. Click Next to view the draft survey.
Next you can click the pencil icon on any question to make edits, add new questions, and drag & drop to reorder questions.
Once you're finished editing the survey, click Customize Task. Similar to other journey steps, you can customize the sender, recipient, and task instructions.
Scroll down to customize the survey schedule.
When you're finished, click Publish Survey at the top of the page to publish the survey step to the journey.
Once answers have been submitted, the user in the From field will receive notifications for the results.
Results can also be viewed by navigating back to the survey Journey step, and clicking on the Results tab. In addition, you could click Export CSV to get a file displaying the results:
2. Route form responses and automate downstream tasks
A common use case is collecting laptop & equipment preferences from a new hire and routing that information to a team responsible for shipping that equipment. You can use a Survey step to collect responses from the new hire before they join and create a task with those answers!
First, create your survey step. We have a template called Laptop Selection Form to get you started.
Survey questions will appear as variables. Copy and paste those variables into the task details so that the new hire's responses are automatically populated there.
In the Task Schedule, you can trigger this task assignment upon completion of the survey to "Select laptop preferences":
Once you publish the task, you can confirm it's linked to the survey step in the journey step table:
To see answers from surveys within a journey, navigate to the journey and click on the survey step.
Then, click on Results from the top tab.
