Purpose:
Carousel Cards are a communication tool that allows you to highlight important things like upcoming events, action items like Open Enrollment, workplace policy changes, and even welcoming new hires to the company.
Creation:
To get started, click Admin in the nav bar. In the admin nav, locate the Content Management section and click on Carousel Cards. Click the Create Carousel Card button and fill in the details you want to share using the fields on the page. As you add content, the preview card at the top of the page will update. You can use the Background Color field to set a background color for your card, but we highly recommend creating a custom cover image for the card.
Adding a cover Image
Carousel cards have a fixed size of 1290px by 200px, so make sure any cover image you upload is inline with those dimensions. If you plan to add a button, take into account it's color and location in your cover image's design.
Content
Use the Carousel Card Content field to add rich text to your card. As you make edits, you’ll see them reflected in the preview card at the top of the screen.
You can also use the Content Alignment field to align your card content to the left, middle, or right side of the card. This is a useful adjustment to make to organize the content around any illustrations in your cover image.
Adding a button & linked background
If there is an action employees are expected to take, you can direct people to a URL by adding a button or a link to the carousel card itself.
Need to add some space between your card content and the button? Simply hit Enter within the Carousel Card Content field below your content to generate some extra space. You can see your adjustments reflected in the preview card at the top of the page.
💡 Tip: Before publishing, collapse the left navbar to see the carousel card in its full width.
Sharing with the right audience
You can use the Audience section on the right side of the screen to choose which employees can see the carousel card
Lastly, set the timeframe for your card to display on the homepage with the Start and End Time fields at the bottom of the screen. Click Save to save your changes and publish the carousel card.
Other notes
- There is no limit to the amount of carousel cards you can create at once.
- Each employee will have a personalized view of the carousel cards they see based on the cards targeted to them.
- If an employee has multiple cards targeted to them, they will automatically rotate through every few seconds, so you can be sure they’re seeing all the content available to them.
