Cleary has an Atlassian OAuth2 app that can be connected to your Atlassian account and access Confluence. Follow the steps below to get it done.
- Make sure that you have Atlassian Admin permission
- Make sure that you have Cleary IT Admin permission
- Ask Cleary Support to enable the “Confluence Search” feature for you
- Open the App Integrations page https://you-company-subdomain.gocleary.com/admin/app_integrations
- Expand the Search section and you should see the Atlassian install button
- Click on Install
- You’re going to be redirected to the Atlassian App to authorize it
- Review the permissions you are authorizing and click Accept
- Then you are going to be redirected back to the App Integrations page in Cleary
- Expand the Search section again and you should see a new field “Confluence Spaces to Search In”
- Make sure that you set the spaces you want to allow people to search in, otherwise, it’ll search in all spaces you have access to, including Private spaces.
- The final state should be something like the following image, where only the “Playbooks” space is enabled for search within Cleary
- Now when searching, users will see a Confluence section that includes Confluence pages from the space you enabled.
