Purpose
Org charts are an incredibly useful tool in Cleary that enables employees to quickly get a view of how the organization is structured!
Setup
Org charts in Cleary are automatically built based on the Manager field present when editing a user in Admin → Users.
If you have an HRIS integration with Cleary, the org chart will populate automatically based on the information in your HRIS.
Note: If a user does not have a manager listed in user management, they will not be present in the org chart.

Using the Org Chart
To interact with the Org Chart, click People on the top navigation bar in Cleary.
You can change the orientation of the org chart by clicking between the two circled buttons:
Most users tend to prefer the horizontal orientation for its information density when trying to understand the org, and the vertical orientation for exporting images of the org chart for presentation purposes.
Using your mouse, you can hold and drag your cursor to reposition the org chart. You can also use your mouse’s scroll wheel to zoom in or out of the org chart.
Clicking the +[number] button in blue on an individual will allow you to further expand the structure of the chart to view their direct reports.
Clicking on an individual card will show their profile to the left of the chart. There, you can see a summary of the employee, or you can click View Profile to go to their profile page.
Searching for a user in the org chart will reposition and expand the chart to view where they’re structured.
Clicking the filter Icon will allow you to select a user and view a new version of the org chart with them as the root node. This can be helpful if you only want to view the chart for a certain department.
To take a screenshot of your org chart, we recommend using your platform’s snipping tool and saving that as an image (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac or Win+Shift+S on Windows).
You can also export a PDF by clicking Print in your browser and selecting the Save as PDF destination. If using that option, make sure all of the org chart nodes you want to capture are fully in view. If you're using a large desktop monitor, you may need to reposition the org chart slightly
