Purpose
In Pages, you can grant users the permission to view, create, and edit whole workspaces or pages.
Who can create a Workspace?
Users that have the Super Admin and Page Workspace Creators permissions enabled can create workspaces and designate new Workspace Owners in Cleary. You can manage those permissions like so:
- Navigate to the Admin section in Cleary’s main navigation bar
- Click Users on the left navigation bar.
- Search and click on a created user
- Navigate to User Permissions at the top of their page
- Click the checkbox for Page Workspace Manager or Super Admin
Workspace Owners
Workspace Owners will have full control over the workspace(s) they own.
In addition to adding, editing, and viewing pages, Workspace Owners gain access to the following privileges:
- Manage Permissions to manage who has access to view, create, or edit pages in the workspace.
- Transfer ownership of the workspace or add other workspace owners
- Rename the Workspace and edit the icon
- Delete the Workspace
- Rearrange pages within the Workspace by dragging and dropping
To manage the workspace, the workspace owner must access the workspace. They can do so by hovering over the Workspace name, and clicking the Open Workspace button that appears.
Click this button to open a workspace
Click the ellipses icon (Note: This button only appears for Workspace Owners)
The following popup appears
Now a Workspace owner can Manage Permissions, add additional Workspace Owners, and Rename or Delete the workspace. We’ll go further into Manage Permissions below.
Workspace Permissions
When clicking Manage Permissions in step 3 from above, the following popup appears.
A Workspace Owner can manage who can view or edit pages within the workspace. We’ll dive into the differences below.
Who can view the workspace?
- A workspace viewer will simply have the ability to view the workspace and its associated pages. They will also see the workspace in their view of the left nav in the Pages module, in addition to any other Workspace they have access to view.
Who can edit pages in this workspace?
- In addition to viewing the workspace and its pages, a workspace editor will be able to create and edit pages within the workspace. They also have the ability to manage the audience at the page level. Tip: This is useful to grant permissions to your team if everyone needs the ability to contribute to a team workspace. You’ll still be able to restrict editing on specific pages within the workspace if needed.
