Configuring IP Access Rules in Cleary
Cleary allows you to set up access rules based on IP addresses or CIDR blocks. This feature covers three main use cases:
1. Allow Trusted IPs
Ensure that certain IPs are never blocked by security filters designed to prevent malicious attacks.
Example: If you don’t add your company’s IPs to the allowlist and multiple employees try to log in at the same time, they might get blocked by the system’s brute-force protection.
2. Require Specific IPs
Restrict access so that only specified IPs can be used to connect to Cleary.
Common use case: Companies that want employees to log in only from approved networks can enforce this rule to block all other connections.
3. Deny Specific IPs
Blocklisted IPs will be completely denied access to Cleary.
